The First new city of 21st Century in India- Naya Raipur, the state capital of Chhattisgarh is taking shape.
Naya Raipur pays its designing and establishment homage to the NRDA or Naya Raipur Development Authority. Originally known as Capital Area development Authority (CADA), it came into existence through the hands of the Chhattisgarh government in 1973. NRDA formulizes as a special branch of the government holding development responsibilities under the Nagar Tatha Gram Nivesh Adhiniyam.
It was on November 1, 2000, when NRDA’s dream project – Naya Raipur gained prominence as an upcoming metropolitan city. Spread over an area of close to 250 sq. km, Naya Raipur Development Authority has embraced a spaced out approach ensuring a nature friendly construction and development of this smart city project of India.
NRDA is develops infrastructure, implements utility and social projects through various procurement methods such as Public Private Partnership framework, Engineering procurement contracts Percent Rate/ Item Rate/ lump sum contract etc, depending on the nature of projects.
